While reading The Monocle (October edition- listen, I’m not that quick when it comes to magazine reading) I came across a wild looking ad for something with such a timid name….

It was an ad for Dover Street Market which is a multilevel fashion retail store created by Rei Kawakubo of Japanese fashion label Comme des Garçons. It is located in Dover Street Mayfair, London!

And then…while flipping the pages and dropping some breadcrumbs that got stuck inside the joints of the bound magazine, I read a small little article about the new Lytro Camera based on light field technology, that has the ability to transform 2D images to 3D straight after they’ve been taken! Here’s a video:
Oh and do you remember that awesome flick Taxi Driver, with Robert Deniro? Well his iconic sunglasses were one of the many Persol Glasses, workshopped all the way in Turin (Italy), handcrafted with obsessive attention (takes 30 manual processes) to detail:

To finish off, I came across another magazine which I unfortunately only discovered today: The Wrap magazine, which contains 8 sheets of paper that you can use as gift wrap! I should totally get my mum to subscribe, after all these years of wrapping last minute gifts with magazine ads/articles when we didn’t have any giftwrap!

Chalo bye.
